We will identify STEM internships for girls starting in high school. Studies have shown that beginning internships in high school can provide a competitive edge for college and future careers. Additionally, starting internships early will help develop important soft skills to learn what it takes to succeed in STEM. Specifically, it will allow for developing logical and analytical thinking skills, solving problems, and acquiring skills such as research, data analysis, or coding. The internships will also achieve the goal of connecting with professionals in the field. Being paired with a mentor during an internship will help guide these girls through tasks and share their educational and professional journey.
